Installation of a dry gas seal Control System and dry gas seals to replace existing oil seals in a train of 3 compressors used in lean hydrocarbon gas reinjection at the GASCO Habshan facility in the UAE.
Identified the three units by Stage 1(LP), Stage 2(MP), and Stage 3(HP) designations.
The upgrade intends to decrease the impact on the environment to as low as technically possible and to increase the reliability of the compressor train.
The project includes the supply and installation of 6 new Tandem L dry seals (2 per compressor), 3 spares (1 per compressor), and the adaptive hardware necessary to fit the seals to the compressor.
A dry gas seal control panel for each compressor and a seal gas conditioning skid is included to support the seals.
Metro Mac was awarded the installation and hook-up of the three dry gas seal control panels to the compressors for two trains 94C-101 & 95C-101 including all necessary Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation. It also included the preparation of engineering drawings for hook-up and modification of existing electrical breakers for the new control panel.
