Project Description

These barges were purpose-built for Kazakhstan's Kashagan offshore oilfield project. The purpose of these barges was to compress the flash gases from the wells to be injected back at high pressure of about 700 bar. Metro Mac as an E&I subcontractor carried out the Installation & pre-commissioning of Electrical & Instrumentation jobs in the below mentioned modules for barges 3&4. The Engineering Contractor is SBM.

Scope of Work

  • The Barge Consisted of the following modules: • Pipe Rack • Air Coolers • Compressor Room including Gas Turbine Compressor • Equipment Module • Local Equipment Room
