POLARCUS SAMUR is an ultra-modern, high ice class, a multi-purpose vessel designed for both 6 streamers 3D seismic and for wide azimuth source operations. Built to the ULSTEIN SX133 design and incorporating the innovative ULSTEIN X-BOW® hull, this vessel combines the latest developments in maritime systems with the most advanced seismic and source technology commercially available. The vessel is also amongst the most environmentally sound seismic vessels in the market with diesel-electric propulsion, high specification catalytic converters, a double hull and advanced ballast water treatment/bilge water cleaning systems. This vessel complies with the stringent DNV CLEAN DESIGN notation. The engineering is by ULSTEIN / Dry Docks Dubai
Metro Mac has been awarded the complete electrical & Instrumentation Installation scope.
Metro Mac was the only contractor in the whole project of 6 seismic vessels, who received the complete scope of activity from Dry Docks World -Dubai.
