Balance and Mass Calibration

Balance and Mass Calibration

We have an accredited lab facility for weight calibration and provide different types of mass calibration services. When the precision of your weighing balance matters, entrust calibration with us.

Accredited Calibration Capabilities

Standard Weights
1 mg to 20 kg
Weighing Balances
Up to 500 kg

Metromac Calibration Services carries out the scale and weight calibration as well as comparator calibration at our well-controlled lab using highly reliable equipment for instruments of varying capacities. Scales and balances can be calibrated to ISO/IEC 17025 standards at our lab or even on-site.

Difference between Mass and weight in calibration?

Mass and weight denote two separate characteristic of the object where mass is the amount of matter in a material whereas weight is the force of gravity acting on the object. Calibration for weights is done by using a set of weights with which the error of the scale can be measured and corrected.

Why is balance or scale calibration important?

With regular wear and tear, other external factors the accuracy of weighing scales reading may be effected. Regular calibrations help establish the error or if the scale is reliable. Periodic testing and calibration helps in ascertaining the quality of the scale or balance as it is of utmost significance.
