A pressure gauge is used to measure the pressure of liquid as well as gas medium within a system.
When should you calibrate a Pressure Gauge?
Pressure gauges can be calibrated at a certified laboratory or on-site. It is prescribed to carry out calibration for the pressure gauges once every year. Pressure gauges are calibrated using tools like standard pneumatic calibrator or a deadweight tester which delivers an accurate reading. Many factors like pressure spikes, pressure media, mechanical stress, contamination, extreme operating conditions, mechanical stress etc can cause inaccuracies in a pressure gauge.
